Thanks to the increasing openness of today’s society, many previously taboo topics are now being openly discussed. One such topic is one of the most remarkable phenomena in the world: the female genitalia and the associated mental well-being of women, which ultimately impacts all of us.
The complexity of the female psyche and body, and thus sexuality, has been the subject of countless books, publications, brochures, guides, and even theatrical plays. However, all of these works share a common denominator: a woman’s satisfaction with her own body. Aging and gravity are relentless, and the female genitalia is unique in that its imperfections cannot be hidden or disguised during intimate moments.
We are talking about the condition of hypertrophy of the labia minora (small labia). This aesthetic-functional issue can either be congenital or arise with age, especially after childbirth through the natural birth canal.
Excess skin on the small labia can become an obstacle for women in activities such as sports, and it can affect sexuality, as well as lead to an increased frequency of infections and yeast problems.
There are several ways to correct hypertrophied labia minora. The most well-known and widespread method is **labiaplasty**, in which excess skin is removed by excision and the edges are sutured. This procedure is relatively quick, but the resulting scar is located at the top of the labia, making it exposed to all forms of mechanical strain that may occur in this area. Some women may experience discomfort during intercourse, which often leads to limiting these activities. Another detail to mention is that classic labioplasty cannot lift or highlight the clitoris.
Another method of genital modification, **genital modeling**, is technically more complex. The incision is made in the fold between the small and large labia, where the resulting scar is hidden and protected from mechanical stress. With this approach, we can spread, reduce excess tissue, and reshape the labia to the desired form. During this process, the incision also extends above the clitoral hood, enhancing and lifting the clitoris.
Thanks to this approach, the result of genital modeling is reliable (with the scar safely placed in the natural fold), aesthetic (the final shape of the labia can be influenced down to the last detail), and functional (by increasing clitoral sensitivity).
